Consultancy Keats House, Keats Grove, Hampstead, NW3 2RR Sustaining Community Engagement: We are looking for an individual or team who can undertake a consultancy focused on sustaining community engagement at Keats House. The consultancy will take place between July and November 2010. The purpose of the consultancy is to: * Evaluate the current community engagement activities established at Keats House * Offer new ideas for community engagement where appropriate based on consultation * Identify local groups who would link to community activities at Keats House * Advise on effective ways in which the programme can be developed * Consider how the programme can be sustained in the long term * Identify key areas for Keats House staff development and training which will support existing programmes and feed into future projects. * Present a report which will support current practice and future developments. We would be seeking information on how to strengthen our service for existing users, but more importantly how to provide relevant, accessible and meaningful learning experiences for groups who are currently under represented at Keats House. Keats House has registered status as a museum and recently received its accreditation. Keats House is just coming to the end of a major refurbishment project funded by HLF. A significant part of that project has been the development of new interpretation and learning opportunities and the establishment of community links. This work is a central part of the ongoing development of this important cultural site and reflects the dedication of the Keats House team in improving and strengthening the experiences of those who already visit the house and opening up opportunities for new visitors. Part of that development is to improve the way in which the house and collections can be best used to serve the needs of a wide range of current and future visitors / participants.
