Defra and its Arm’s Length Bodies will contribute £162m to the Government’s overall £6bn savings in 2010/11, amounting to 5.5% of its 2010/11 budget.
These in-year efficiencies will include the following elements:
savings within the delivery of selected programmes.

Tried scouting around for some detail of what those selected programmes might be, but couldn’t find anything.  Has anyone else heard more regarding the continuation (or not) of CL funding?

Please note that the Town Hall Car Park is only for use by members of ESBC staff who are issued with parking permits.  There is free parking available at the front of the Town Hall (accessible from Rangemore Street) for up to two hours.  Alternatively, there is currently free unrestricted parking available at the Midland Grain Warehouse (accessible from Derby Street on the one-way system).
 
If you are visiting us, the Town Hall is a 5 minute walk from Burton railway station - just turn left out of the station and the Town Hall is visible ahead of you. The Town Hall is also served by bus services 1,1A,2,2A,3,3A,3B,10,402, V1,V2, and X38, most connecting with Burton town centre.
