Structural Biologists (Ref SB-10) 10/05/2010 Cambridge Science Park Astex Therapeutics is a world leader in fragment-based drug discovery. The company has a strong commitment to X-ray crystallography - all our projects are based on a detailed understanding of protein: ligand interactions and thus structural biology plays a major role in drug design within the company. We have opportunities for structural biologists to join Astex and to influence our discovery and development projects. The successful applicants will have a PhD in Structural Biology, and will have experience in the areas of molecular biology, protein production and crystallography. A knowledge of, and an interest in protein-ligand interactions and drug design would be advantageous, as would be an interest in method development for high throughput crystallography.
