We, too, collect campaign leaflets, flyers, posters etc - for Scottish seats, for our very well used Scottish Election collection. Our aim is to get representation from each of the constituencies in Scotland, for as many parties and independents as possible. We've been very active in appealing for donations of leaflets. There should be a story on the collection tomorrow in the Metro (we tried to interest the BBC, but ....)

So far, the response to our appeal has been very good, but if anyone has any leaflets from Scottish constituencies, do please send them to us!

Yes, here we keep a sample of literature produced by parties with candidates standing in local and parliamentary elections so includes mainstream and fringe parties and the independents. It's a well-used collection especially by school groups who like to compare the messages given out by different parties or even the same party at different times. People using them are struck by the similar themes that come up time and again: taxation and immigration always seem to be hot topics - archive policy, less so ;)

Thanks for clearing that up.
The Liberal Democrats and Green party have worked incredibly hard in the local area putting out very useful and intelligent literature about their campaigns (as I'm sure they've worked hard in other
constituencies) and I wondered if this literature is being collected by any Archive?
