Dear anthropologists based in London,

I am hoping to run a reading-group of contemporary and classical anthropological theory. Summer is upon us now and outside the odd conference or two there is little that happens of an academic nature until the beginning of the autumn term.

I have no set texts in mind and once we have enough people voice their interests we can communicate directly to discuss texts to be read and times and places to meet.

I am currently attending reading-groups run by political-scientists and philosophers and the level of dedication and interest shown by research students and academics is impressive. This level of involvement and enthusiasm is sadly missing in our own discipline and it is time we have our own reading-group.

Please respond off-list if you are interested.

Kind regards,
Sarah
