Dear list members
In case you know of students or colleagues who are interested in a
fairly gentle introduction to infectious disease modelling, just to let
you know that the following introductory modelling book has recently
been published:

http://anintroductiontoinfectiousdiseasemodelling.com/

or

http://ukcatalogue.oup.com/product/9780198565765.do?keyword=Introduction
+to+Infectious+Disease+Modelling+&sortby=bestMatches

It builds on the material that is taught on the LSHTM-HPA modelling
shortcourse (http://www.lshtm.ac.uk/prospectus/short/siidma.html), and
is targeted at a similar audience (epidemiologists, public health
researchers, policy makers, veterinary scientists, medical
statisticians, health economists, infectious disease researchers,
applied mathematicians, and those generally interested in mathematical
modelling of infectious diseases...)

Many thanks (and apologies for cross-posting or if this posting is
inappropriate for this list).
