Planets End of Project Conference: Thursday 20 May 2010Crowne Plaza, Berlin City Centre***Apologies for cross-postings***
Registration is now open for the Planets End of Project Conference, which takes place in Berlin.More than 50 Planets researchers and developers from across Europe will join with members of the digital preservation community to see the Planets tools and services in action, review the achievements of the project and learn about the impact of Planets on the preservation community and the commercial market. The European Commission will give their view on the project and there will be the opportunity to learn about future challenges in digital preservation.Delegates will also hear from the Director of the Planets follow-on organisation, the Open Planets Foundation (OPF), and find out more about how the foundation will build upon the work that has been developed during the Planets project.After the conference close there will be an open meeting of the Implementing Planets in Archives andLibraries (IPAL) Group, which delegates are welcome to attend.
