We are seeking a
full-time Ph.D. student for a project with a duration of 4 years
(funded by the Research Foundation – Flanders: FWO) investigating
the putative role of the default-mode network (DMN) in the
pathophysiology of ADHD, under the supervision of Roeljan Wiersema,
Edmund Sonuga-Barke, Herbert Roeyers, and Rik Achten. The Ph.D.
student will investigate whether and how DMN interference may explain
lapses in performance and attention in ADHD. FMRI and EEG will be
used to study the spatio-temporal dynamics of DMN activity during
rest, during task performance, and during rest-task transitions.
Qualifications:
The
successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Psychology
(clinical, experimental or neuropsychological) and/or (cognitive)
neurosciences. Previous expertise or training in (cognitive)
neuroscience is preferred.
