This one is a general report, but it might provide some leads:
The Demand for STEM Graduates: some benchmark projections
Rob Wilson
It comes from a raft of organisations, including DIUS, but I
hope that will not rule it out. The work was done by the Warwick Institute for
Employment Research at the University of Warwick.
It sits on the CIHE web site:
http://www.cihe.co.uk/wp-content/themes/cihe/document.php?file=0901STEMIER.pdf
It might be worth wandering around the CIHE’s other
documents.
This one, for example:

One area where there has been more work on “skills needs”
than most is in the need for qualified people in the nuclear energy industry, which
some might see as the most “sustainable” energy option around.
The OECD is often a good source of statistical data like this. But
you may need to work somewhere with an OECD account to get at some of the
reports.

This report may be only of comparative use but there has
been some work done in Australia on "Growing the green collar
economy"

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Future Demand for Low Carbon Jobs/Skills
Greetings
Y’all!
Can anyone point
me in the direction of some up to date, independent (meaning
non-governmental) research into sustainable development /
low carbon jobs, and the projected demands for these jobs. I have been through pretty
much all
the government
and party reports, research etc, and frankly I am reluctant to trust the
figures quoted! Is there any current data on jobs / skills requirements or any research
focused on employer demands in different sectors with regard to
sustainable development?
I know (hope) that
someone will come through for me so thanks to you in advance!!
Cheers
Oli
