A friend and I watched the 'Killing the Black Dog' talk and recital videos
last night that are on that site: very interesting human documents. The
Australian poetry scene is different from the Brit: it's not that it isn't
full of shite like the British and Irish scenes, but, unlike
England-Britain, it's not class-based shite, here underneath it all
everything is predicated on class, and it's a kind of international
holiday-home for it too, slowly returning to the way it was pre-World War
One, the English themselves are among the most colonised subjugated peoples
in the world!
What's noticeable about Murray is that he's speaking from the same language
as his audience, not through it and down at them.
