Hello All

Whilst I have read these posts, I wasn't going to add my own comments as I too think enough is enough, I'm sure just a misunderstanding, and we all know that happens! Onwards and Upwards!!

What I did just want to clarify though, as unfortunately it is linked to a construction role, (And I know Sean is trying hard to fill this - good luck) that it is not related to Constructing Better Health, the National Scheme for management of OH in construction.

We are working with the OH industry and are always very keen to speak to OH providers, either independent or organisations who want to join us to improve the work related health of the construction workforce, we do not deliver directly so don't recruit. (Although we did once look for someone to assist with a project and I had a fab response from this forum!)

Thanks all and Happy Easter !

Kind regards
Wendy

Enough Guys and Sean,

I have been a member of the JISC OH Nurses forum since it was started.

Firstly the comments of Sarah do not amount to slander,  Sean, if you knew anything about the law you would know that the comments were not specific to you or do you know something we do not.. Your response was offensive and I and others were offended by it and you should apologise.

Secondly JISC is an educational forum it is provided for the purpose of sharing educational information and knowledge and not to advertise, if someone wishes to advertise it has always been tolerated and anyone who advertises should do so in that knowledge , not threaten individuals who dare to comment on their advertisment  and share their own experience.

If you don’t like it, then don’t advertise on an educational forum or you will be removed

Best wishes to all

David

It was not an exercise in endearing myself to my target market it was a reply to uninstigated attack on my professional integrity.  I do not post slanderous comments about any idividuals operating on this forum and as such expect the same courtesy.  When and only when any individual has the right to complain about my conduct shall I let it pass unanswered.

I find that agencies like below (who make a lot of money placing OH specialists ) should be not be allowed to use this great forum to find nurses and line their own pockets.  This man is using jiscmail I should imagine to save on the cost of advertisements.. I lost a job because the agency was charging to much in fees so the company could not afford me.

I am on my soap box because I have personally been affected by this and to use jiscmail for this in my opinion is deplorable. If it is another Oh specialist who wants to recurit for the company because they are leaving that is different.
Sarah

Dear List,

I am still seeking candidates for a site based OH Advisor role located in the Wolverhampton region.  This role is a permanent opportunity with a major building contractor and will involve health surveillance and screening with an emphasis on noise and dust pollution, toolbox talks, absence management and generally interfacing with the 2 project safety advisors in order to maintain the standard of health and safety on site. The project is at its early stages but will have up to 500 employess on site and for the time being at least, will be the company's flagship project.  Ideally I would like to find someone who has some experience working in an OH role in a building/civils environment, however, I am open to applicants from other related industries.  Someone holding the NEBOSH Certificate would have an advantage.

If you believe that you fit the above description then feel free to contact me on 01702 482064 or send me an e-mail to [log in to unmask]
