Hi there

Human Applications in Loughborough can do this - pricey though, around £800 for assessment and advice

Thanks Jacqui - I am of the same opinion and did wonder whether it was just me being a grumpy old OHA again. If he opted out of company car schenme ( i assume there was some package that went with it) surely this is for him to deal with?

Hi Sue
To throw the cat among the pigeons....Is this an issue you have to deal with?

Was he offered different cars from the employer?
It is a different matter if the company only provides (for example) a vauxhall astra for everyone, then he could expect that if it were uncomfortable the company help him become comfortable...did he test drive it as he would use it at work..Most car sales allow you to do that when buying a new car.

He chose this car, why doesnt he trade it in against one he finds comfortable?

If the company insisted that he got a landrover discovery with its upright seating position and firm suspension then I would argue yes it is up to the company to help.

If he needs a 4 wheel drive with high ground clearance for his job there are others on the market which can be test driven for periods of time to ensure comfort. Admittedly these may not carry the same street cred as a landrover in some circles.

I know some people need heavy vehicles outside work for towing caravans etc which is why they opt out..but again there are other heavy vehicles on the market he can buy.

IMO...may not be your problem.
Jacqui
