Everyone,
Three items of excellent news to share...
1) Two days ago I signed a contract for the SAGE Handbook of Mentoring and
Coaching. Thanks SO much to those of you who offered to contribute a
chapter and for reviewing a final proposal too. Our next step is to
approach individuals to author - Carol Mullen and I will be busy writing
invitations over the next few weeks. Publication is expected in 2012.
2) Dianne Allen has very kindly agreed to convene our next SIG e-seminar
which starts on Saturday 8th May and will focus on exploring the kinds of
questions that mentors can ask to stimulate learning. Those of you
who have followed earlier e-seminars on our JISCmail
MENTORING-COACHING list are already familiar with Dianne's thought
provoking emails!
3) It's time for a fresh approach to running our SIG and we need your
support to enable us to build membership and ensure our programme fits your
requirements. PLEASE... make time to consider joining a new steering
group to run our SIG and arrange events for us all. Let me know if you'll
take part. Our inaugural meeting is Saturday June 5 Milton Keynes.
