Hi Sam, Hope you're well. This is an interesting question. As Outi says most of the points are good practice. If your course is Accredited by the RCN they only require attendance records to be kept for 1 year, but on the other hand nurses follow a 3 year re-accreditation cycle so I suppose soeone could ask you to confirm thir attendance for up to three years. The Royal College of Physicians uses a 5 year rolling cyle of CPD - so maybe that's where the 5 years comes from?
