Dear Sir/Madam, I am looking for GIS work experience placements or entry-level positions, preferably within the retail sector as I wish to pursue a career in Site Research and Network Planning. I am based in South Buckinghamshire so am able to commute into London, or to areas within an hours commute such as Milton Keynes, Oxford, Reading and St Albans. I graduated last summer with a First in BA Geography, this course included specific modules in the use of GIS within the retail sector. I have continued my studies with a MSc in GIS (a part-time distance learning course) - I chose to take this course part-time so that I could gain valuable experience at the same time. I have recently spent two weeks with the DSGi Location Planning team, and am in the process of organising a placement with the Retail Research team at Jones Llang. I have used MapInfo (version 8.5) and ArcGIS (version 9.3), I am proficient in the use of MS word 2007, and have some experience of using SPSS and Business Objects.
