I Have to say that I find both advertised jobs and short Job applications useful for my purposes. After all its generally 2 clicks of a mouse to get rid of unwanted content!!!

I would also like it to stop but I don't think its an 'error in the system'. This is simply a mailing list for advertsing jobs. Its just unfortunate that a recent trend has started with students spamming everyone with their cvs. The list description states : This is a public list to which anyone can subscribe and contribute by posting messages about job vacancies in GIS related fields. Very short messages from those seeking jobs are acceptable.

Maybe this could be changed so that messages from those seeking jobs are no longer acceptable, or moved to a different list?

Dear all,

My name is Luke Allen, I have recently graduated from the University of Glamorgan with an MSc in Geographical Information Systems (Distinction). Prior to this I read a degree in BSc Physical Geography (2:1 classification) at Glamorgan.

I am now in search of real world GIS experience in either a temporary or permanent role and would also be willing to do voluntary work in order to gain further experience.

I am currently based within the West Midlands but would happy and willing to relocate anywhere within the United Kingdom and abroad.

Please find a copy of my CV attached to this email, if you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to contact me, my email for which is listed below.

Thank you,

Luke Allen
