Dear all, Can I please second Lawrence Berg's message and extend it to all teachers of geography? As a student, it is really disturbing to see an academic be so openly abusive to a colleague. Whilst I totally understand the pressures that all academics face regarding publications, surely your primary role is as educators; be that through your written or taught work. Ms Kaucher took advantage of the Critical Geography Forum to launch a highly personal attack on Professor Gordon - and that is certainly no example to set to students (like me) who find the CGF a stimulating and thoughtful arena of academic debate. I think a student might be asked to apologise for this sort of thing; and rightly so. But one should hardly have to ask an educator to do so. Best wishes to all, Erica Pani > Dear CGF List members, > > I write to remind people of the purpose of the CGF List: > >> This list provides a forum for the discussion of critical and radical >> perspectives in geography.
