Grade 7 £35,415-£38,441 per annum, Grade 8 £39,510-£46,635 per annum

Duties and Responsibilities

The Department is currently undergoing a programme of expansion. As part of this expansion the Department invites applications for two Lectureships in Statistics. The successful applicants will be expected to carry out original research and to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Statistical Science.

Key Requirements

The successful candidates will have a proven record of ability to carry out high quality research in some branch of probability or statistics, including evidence of success in publishing in journals of internatonal repute. The appointees should have the ability to construct and deliver lecture courses on topics relevant to the needs of the Department and possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Applicants should have, or be about to submit, a PhD in Statistics or a related discipline.
