It is a searchable index to journal articles, book chapters, reports and other grey literature covering all aspects of education policy, practice and theory. This includes coverage of teaching, the economics of education, and all levels of education from primary schooling to higher and adult education. Over 400 journal titles are indexed. These are primarily German language, but also include major English language publications. Entries cover publications from approximately 1980 onwards. Abstracts are provided. Materials are updated quarterly. A wide range of topic areas rare covered including: exploration and the Portuguese empire, the economic history of Portugal, historic accounts of Lisbon and other Portuguese cities and colonies, biographies of Portuguese historical figures and monarchs. Partners include many historical archives such as Niagara Historical Society & Museum, It aims to provide students and educators with an online library of resources relating to the history of the 1812-1815 war of independence between Britain and North America. It is possible to read primary sources online. These include government publications, military documents, historic battle maps, documents from military battalions and individual papers and oral history accounts. Many of the items are held by Canadian archives. They also include photographs of images (such as artefacts from the battlefields) held in Canadian museum collections.
