Job Advertisement: Closing Date 5th April 2010 DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS CLARENDON LABORATORY * PARKS ROAD * OXFORD * OX1 3PU Postdoctoral Research Assistant Grade 7: Salary: GBP 28,983 - GBP 35,646 per annum A Postdoctoral Research Assistant position in diffusive shock acceleration and magnetic field generation in astrophysics is available working with Prof Tony Bell in the sub-Department of Atomic and Laser Physics. The position is funded by the Science and Technology Facilities Council. The position is tenable for 36 months with a preferred start date of 1st September 2010 or soon thereafter. Applicants must have a good first degree in an appropriate subject, and have, or expect to have soon, a PhD in plasma physics or astrophysics.
