I don't normally promote Australian magazines on the wider stage, but this issue is special. Southerly, Vol 69, No. 3- The Poetry Issue - is out and is outstanding. Gems include poems by Tom Shapcott, John Tranter, Ken Bolton, Pam Brown, Martin Harrison, Kate Lilley and Lucy Dougan, and prose by David Brooks and part of Tranter's exegesis on Tranter - excellent reading. David Brooks has over all responsibility for this issue, and the poetry editor is Kate Lilley. Look out for it.
