Subject: Natural History galleries

Good afternoon hive mind,

I need your help. I am currently researching children's responses to natural history in museums. I would like to collate a list of all the natural history museums and galleries in the UK.

So, if you have a couple of spare minutes, I would very much appreciate it if as many people as possible could let me know any museums that they can think of that have at least one gallery of natural history (UK only). This doesn't just have to be the museum where you work, but can be any that you've been to or heard of.

I know there are some obvious ones (I don't need telling about the London NHM), but there may be some that seem obvious to locals, but are less obvious to me! Also, because I'm looking for galleries as well as whole museums, it can be hard to find exactly which museums do have these galleries from all of them in the country. Therefore the more responses I get the better - everyone's input helps.

I have checked out the NatSCA website, but they don't seem to have a list of collections.

As a secondary request, and if you have a couple of extra minutes, it would also be great to know which ones you think are good for young children.

I really appreciate your help with this. I will let you know when I've made my list and then any other interested person can request it from me.

All the best,

Elee
