That sounds like a very sensible solution, if it is possible to do?

Subject: Managing the list (query about the default for replies)

Dear List-readers

Given that we're all human and that even experienced list-users have
made
several embarrassing errors in the past few months in posting
personal/confidential messages to the whole list, I think that it does
make
sense to take the systems approach to avoiding error.

Perhaps the default should be that a reply goes to the sender (rather
than to
the whole list) but with a prompt box to say "Would you like to send
this
message to the whole list?"

I'm not sure if this is possible within the Jiscmail set up but it might
prevent
some embarrassment/irritation!

Best wishes
