LIS-LINK Comrades! A colleague has co-directed a documentary mini-series on the Jewish Israeli Ultra-Orthodox community, the series (3 x 50 mins) being the outcome of four years doctoral and post-doctoral research on this community. The series explores the challenges that the Israeli Ultra-Orthodox Jewish community is facing including the modern Israeli state, the labour market and popular Western culture which are threatening to engulf it. Episode 1 was recently awarded the Best TV Film Award at the Religion Today Film Festival, Trento, Italy.
