Thanks for your responses about how you issue your results – much appreciated.

Just a note on KS proxy evidence – see point 4 of the attached JCQ document.  I felt the same about AB statements of results and insisted this was the evidence to be used and we would take copies of students’ statements at the beginning of the year, however, most schools are now using their MIS to generate their own results slips so more often the AB statements of results are not actually with the candidate coming to college.  In this case, certificates would be chased later in the year – it’s all a big nightmare really. But, hey – no proxies for Functional Skills!

Thanks

At this college we only use exam board statements of entry (not MIS print-offs) and we post these out to students if they don’t pick them up in person by about 3pm on results day.

MIS statements are not admissible as evidence for Key Skills proxy claims.  We have had a lot of trouble with this.  Only official exam board statements or certificates are admissible and if students don’t bother to collect and produce their GCSE certificates they have to take the Key Skills tests instead (this is not popular of course!).

Subject: academic statements of results

Hi all

Please can you let me know what information is on your internally produced MIS Statements of Results.  We used this method for the January results this time, and whilst the printing process was fine and the results were ready well in advance of the official release date, I’m concerned that not all information is on our template, notably:

*max UMS

*grade boundaries

Do you post out your awarding body statements of results to candidates once these are received even if you have supplied MIS statements of results on the results day?

Thanks!
