Special Issue “Pension Reform in
the Age of Crisis”
Call for
Papers
The Social
Cohesion and Development Journal invites papers for the 2011/2 special issue
focusing on “Pension Reform in the Age of Crisis”.
The global
financial crisis is putting pressure on both PAYG and Fully Funded pension
systems; in the first case by reducing their stream of revenues and potentially
increasing benefit claims, while in the second though its impact (already
evident) on the value of pension fund assets. At the same time the crisis is
limiting governments’ capacity to mitigate such effects. In response we have
planned a special issue that will analyze the consequences of the financial
crisis on the institutional and financing mechanisms of pension systems and the
envisaged policy responses.
Papers should
not exceed 6,000 words including endnotes and references. Interested parties
should send their papers not later than 1st October 2010 to the

“SCAD paper submission 2011/2” in the e-mail subject along with a short CV
