Dear Colleagues,

SOCIAL COHESION AND DEVELOPMENT JOURNAL (SCAD)

Special Issue “Pension Reform in the Age of Crisis”

Call for Papers

The Social Cohesion and Development Journal invites papers for the 2011/2 special issue focusing on “Pension Reform in the Age of Crisis”.

The global financial crisis is putting pressure on both PAYG and Fully Funded pension systems; in the first case by reducing their stream of revenues and potentially increasing benefit claims, while in the second though its impact (already evident) on the value of pension fund assets. At the same time the crisis is limiting governments’ capacity to mitigate such effects. In response we have planned a special issue that will analyze the consequences of the financial crisis on the institutional and financing mechanisms of pension systems and the envisaged policy responses.

Papers should not exceed 6,000 words including endnotes and references. Interested parties should send their papers not later than 1st October 2010 to the Journal Editor, Prof. Theodoros Sakellaropoulos ([log in to unmask]) by e-mail attachment with “SCAD paper submission 2011/2” in the e-mail subject along with a short CV including affiliation, recent publications and current mailing address. For further information regarding submission guidelines, please visit http://www.epeksa.gr/en/htm or contact Marina Angelaki [log in to unmask]

Papers will be peer-reviewed.
