Just to let you know about an event coming up next month:

Teaching ESOL ‘Beginners’an ELT welldiscussion day
Teaching students at a low proficiency level presents teachers with some
particular challenges, such as how to get started and how to assess the
learners’ needs, as well as issues of literacy development, and - for some -
citizenship.
 If you are involved in teaching English to beginners, come along and share your
experience on these issues with like-minded colleagues. Practitioners with
expertise in these areas will provide input and lead our discussions.
This discussion day will be held on Friday 16thApril 2010   from 10am to 5pm,  
at the Penny Street Bridge Hotel in Lancaster.  Coffee will be available from
9.30.
There will be a charge of £20 per person to cover costs, including all
refreshments and lunch.
