Dear All,

Just to let you know about an event coming up next month:

Teaching ESOL ‘Beginners’ an ELT well discussion day

Teaching students at a low proficiency level presents teachers with some particular challenges, such as how to get started and how to assess the learners’ needs, as well as issues of literacy development, and - for some - citizenship.

If you are involved in teaching English to beginners, come along and share your experience on these issues with like-minded colleagues. Practitioners with expertise in these areas will provide input and lead our discussions.

This discussion day will be held on Friday 16th April 2010   from 10am to 5pm,
at the Penny Street Bridge Hotel in Lancaster.   Coffee will be available from 9.30.

There will be a charge of £20 per person to cover costs, including all refreshments and lunch.
