Lindsay,

I've got an example of bad practice which I can share. We're in the process of thoroughly reviewing our PEEP procedures, largely because they have historically required the involvement of too many people. The Health and Safety office here have tried to insist that in addition to the student and the College's Fire Officer, a member of academic staff is present at the PEEP meeting. Trying to triangulate meetings this way has proved impossible .

From the start of next year we intend to roll out PEEPs for students in campus accommodation during what we call moving-in weekend by identifying students who require them via questionnaire over the Summer. Those students not resident on campus will be given their PEEPs as soon as possible once their timetables are finalised.

Best of luck...

Simon

Dear Colleagues,

We are currently reviewing our policy and procedures for disabled students who require a Personal  Emergency Exit Plan (PEEP). I would be grateful for any advice or examples of good practice other universities have implemented. Thanks.

Kind Regards,
