A postdoctoral position is available for NIH-funded research to study the role of the membrane environment in facilitating the chemical reactivity of monotopic membrane enzymes. Specifically, the project investigates the transfer of the substrate from the membrane to the active site of human lanosterol synthase, a key protein in cholesterol biosynthesis. Applicants with background in one or all of the following: biochemistry, membrane-protein interactions, and biophysics methods (such as solution state and solid state NMR), are especially encouraged to send their curriculum vitae and names of three references to: Prof. Sharon Rozovsky, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Delaware (e-mail: [log in to unmask]).
