"The anthology’s editor, Roddy Lumsden, when asked how he knew of the
existence of the poets he chose, said he knew of them from book
publications."

Which would seem a very reasonable way of assembling an anthology, or do you
disagree?

Jamie

Jamie,

When you say:

"And it goes wider than organizations. There are people in the poetry world
who now assume that the absence of internet presence is a sure sign of
insignificance. Or conversely that the publication on a number of internet
sites is a guarantee of quality."

No doubt this may be true for arts organisations etc. but it seems not to be
the case with poetry book publishers such as Bloodaxe, whose recent
anthology, "Identity Parade", comprises of many poet who have little or no
Internet presence. The anthology’s editor, Roddy Lumsden, when asked how he
knew of the existence of the poets he chose, said he knew of them from book
publications.

By the way, can you tell me how to include in a reply to a post, the
original message to which you are replying? There's no button for it.
