JOB: Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Probabilistic Graphical Modelling

Applications are invited for a two-year position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Probabilistic Graphical Modelling, to work on a collaborative, multi-disciplinary EPSRC-funded project (EP/H023135/1) with several other UK universities. 

The aim of the research is to contribute to the development of a prototype decision support system to aid specialist investigators, while addressing a number of challenges regarding the fusion, analysis and visualization of multiple data sources that may be partial and of variable reliability. 

Your background will include research experience in probabilistic graphical models such as Bayesian networks and influence diagrams, together with some practical experience of their application. You will have or be close to completing a PhD in computer science, statistics or operational research. 

This is a full-time post of two years duration. Salary range: £29,206 - £32,552 per annum.
