Dear mailbase,

I note on a number of protocols across the UK Lucazade is stated as not
acceptable to use during an OGTT.

Other than the obvious problem with the volume (to get 75g of glucose
from Lucazade 70kcal/100ml one needs to drink 410ml - way above the
recommended volume for the load) is there any other evidence/reason that
Lucazade should not be used?

I do note its not something we use at our own Trust but it was raised
with me.

Many thanks
Katy
