What are the benefits of attending?

By the end of this practical training course you will:

*       Be aware of the ways in which dyslexia can have an impact on
learning

*       Be familiar with a range of practical strategies and approaches
to support learners with dyslexia in work-based learning

*       Have considered some of the issues that have an impact on
support for learners with dyslexia, such as dyslexia assessment, funding
and confidentiality

*       Be aware of the legal obligations on learning providers in
relation to dyslexia

Throughout the day there will be opportunities to reflect on your own
knowledge and practice, as well as your work with particular learners,
so that the training will have an immediate, practical application in
your workplace. 

You will get a copy of the publication "Supporting learners with
dyslexia in work-based learning" as well as an opportunity to work with
experienced dyslexia specialists.
