The EC funded project I work for is evolving and moving headquarters to
Amsterdam later this year. The new project is called the European Grid
Initiative (EGI) and they are looking to recruit a Dissemination Manager and
Dissemination Officer. The general details for each are below with a link to

The Dissemination Manager leads the presentation of EGI.eu and the EGI
collaboration to its members and the general public by generating material
and communicating this through the website, dissemination materials,
newsletters, articles, and other material. They will manage a full time
Dissemination Officer and a distributed team located within the EGI
collaboration. Experiences in strategies for communicating complex technical
and science issues to the general public are desirable.

EGI.eu provides a competitive salary (€3608-4811 a month) with comprehensive
benefits package including pension, medical insurance, daily travel
allowance, relocation expenses, holiday and end of year allowances
(equivalent to approx 6 weeks salary) and 31 days leave a year in addition
to public holidays. All terms of employment (including salary and job

Dissemination Officer (http://www.egi.eu/cms/about/jobs/egi-eu/DO-advert.html).
The EGI.eu Dissemination Officer will be involved in generating much of the
content used within EGI’s website, newsletters, leaflets, articles and
external communications. They will be expected to communicate complex
technical/scientific matters to audiences ranging between the general
public, policy/decision makers and technical experts. Working for the
Dissemination Manager they will have a background in science journalism (or
related technical writing) and ideally some expertise with graphics and
desktop publishing packages.
