This might be of interest to some members of the CPE network (note that the programme is also open to non-German speaking scholars!)
Best wishes,

Anglo-German "State of the State" Postdoctoral Fellowships

2-year Postdoctoral Fellowships in Political Science or Law, based at
the University of Oxford

The Universities of Bremen and Göttingen (Dept of Politics) and the
University of Oxford (Dept of Politics and International Relations &
Institute of European and Comparative Law) invite applications from
scholars for a number of two-year postdoctoral Fellowships based mainly
at the University of Oxford.

The Fellowships are open to people of all nationalities who work in the
fields of political science, law, history, sociology or economics. The
only restriction is that the Fellows should work on the transformation
of the modern state (broadly conceived) with a focus on Western Europe
and/or European integration. The programme welcomes international
comparative perspectives extending to all parts of Europe as well as
comparisons between the European Union and other regional blocks.

This Fellowship Programme, which has been running since September 2009,
aims to enable outstanding scholars at the start of their careers to
spend time in an intellectually stimulating environment and to turn
their finished doctoral theses into an English-language manuscript
suitable for publication with a good university press. The programme
also intends to establish an international network of leading scholars
specialising in the study of the state.
The new Fellows will start in September 2010. The Programme is open to
scholars of all nationalities who hold a doctorate in a relevant
discipline (political science, law, history or economics) or can provide
evidence of imminent completion (the oral examination must take place by
July 2010). To be eligible, applicants should not have completed more
than 2 years of academic work after finishing their doctorate by the
application deadline.
Further information about this Fellowship Programme and how to apply can
