Sorry Max, but I don't see the connection between suckling/milk and the
father's soul. Another stanza, perhaps?

After re-reading about 4 times I finally see there is meant to be a pun on
'Other side'.

no, it still doesn't gel... seems to me that reincarnation is about coming
back to the *this* side.
