thanks Tracy
is there any document (DoH, NICE etc) with guidelines as to what is
required....as always, it seems different hospitals require different things

thanks

Chloe

what I am referring to is:
The management
of health, safety
and welfare issues
for NHS staff
New edition, 2005

There is currently no routine requirement for the testing of healthcare
workers other
than doctors for blood-borne viruses. However, if they think they have been
exposed,
healthcare workers have a professional duty to seek medical advice on the
need to be
tested for blood-borne viruses.
which states doctors have to have routine testing for BBV so what is
routine???
