There is a seminar taking place in the STS department (G3, 22 Gordon Square) on Monday that may be of interest. Sam Schweber is the author In the Shadow of the Bomb (Princeton University Press), a much-praised study of Oppenheimer and Hans Bethe's contrasting reactions to their involvement in the development of nuclear weapons. Professor Schweber is one of our foremost historians of modern physics.
