From
the organisations that brought you the flying high conference, the
SSAT and CILT have teamed up once again to bring you the Reaching Out
conference.
Help
us celebrate and learn about successful, varied and innovative programmes
lead by teachers in all schools.
Hear
about current best practice, and receive guidance and information on
implementing the three strands of the community outreach programme:
primary, secondary and wider community, including business engagement.
|
Who
is it for?
|
Senior
leaders, heads of languages, languages subject leaders and language
practitioners, as well as those responsible for the community programme
and community cohesion.
|
What
will the conference involve?
|
The
conference, partly funded by the DCSF, will be informative, relevant and
motivational for schools wishing to address community cohesion, Every
Child Matters and the personalisation agenda.
Workshops
will focus on reaching out to community through languages and leading
practice in developing partnerships with:
• other schools
•
business and industry
• community
groups
• international
links
Most
workshops will be led by practitioners and those leading in community
outreach. Delegates will see best practice and innovation in business engagement
in languages from CILT's Business Language Champions Award winners.
