Hi Helen, That sounds like a really interesting project! Would your local Record Office be a good place to deposit such items? thanks Alex Alex Godden BA (Hons) MA Archaeologist/ Historic Data Manager Archaeology & Historic Buildings Landscape, Planning & Heritage Environment Department Hampshire County Council Tel. 01962 832338 Fax. 01962 832312 Email: [log in to unmask] ________________________________ From: Issues related to Historic Environment Records [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Alison Bennett AAG SMRO ES Sent: 25 February 2010 14:14 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: Query about big project archive The Defence of Britain project comes to mind - held nationally and locally. The ADS and NMR were mentioned. In the longer term the project may spread into neighouring counties - the guy doing it (Bob Trubshaw) is very keen. If it does spread it would definitely be good to have the entire archive in one place as well as in separate county HERs (if other HERs want the stuff). I wondered how people normally dealt with big projects like this...
