The choice of smartphone platform is much determined for me by the availability of Inchware’s excellent Pocket versions of GP System s/w.  They currently come for Windows Mobile, and EPOC – see www.inchware.co.uk/mainpgs/about.html  .

I’ve checked with them and they are developing for Blackberry for launch “soon”.

Next criterion is a real keyboard that works in landscape – chronically difficult or flakey to emulate in software on WinMobile – unless others have found the trick?

PS other real keyboard lovers may also like a potential worthy successor to the Psion 5 at www.psixpda.com.  Runs WinXP and has 3G - but not a phone.
