A vacancy has arisen to supply a chapter on Ilija Trojanow's first
novel, Die Welt ist gross und Rettung lauert
überall (Hanser, 1996) for a volume on Trojanow which I am editing
for the University of Wales Press in the Swansea Contemporary Writers Series.
The essay will be published in English and should be around 5-6,000
words. It can be on any aspect of the novel, possibly comparing it to the
recent film version (dir. Stephan Komandarev).
The deadline is 30 September 2010. The volume is due to appear in late
2011.
