Aim of the day
This one day seminar aims to showcase and interact with campaigners, researchers and activists who are developing engaging ideas, tools and techniques that aim to bring about a more socially and ecologically just world. It is aimed at people inside and outside universities alike who work in engaged, collaborative and innovative ways.

11.40 am Speaker 2 followed by discussion

3.20pm Speaker 4 followed by discussion

4.40pm Closing Plenary with discussant and refreshments

5.30pm Drinks and optional meal (paid for by participants)

To attend this seminar please email a completed application form to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> by February 16th 2010 at the very latest, or post to Calum Carson, School of Geography, University of Leeds, LS2 9JT, UK.

Unfortunately, places are limited to 50 participants. If the event is oversubscribed the information provided below will be used to generate as appropriate and balanced participation as possible.

Costs
There is no charge for the seminar, but participants are expected to meet all their own costs.

20 travel bursaries of up to £50 for second class travel are available for postgraduate/unwaged participants or people without access to funding for such activity. To request a bursary please indicate on the form below.

Food
A free buffet lunch will be provided. We are intending to go for an evening meal in Leeds city centre on the Tuesday evening. This will be at participants' own cost, but it will be inexpensive with vegetarian options.

Accommodation
Unfortunately, there are no bursaries for accommodation. The seminar is occurring over one day so people can arrive and leave the same day. If you are coming from further afield, the following links provide information on accommodation. If you need accommodation but cannot afford it, we will do our best to find you accommodation amongst people in Leeds. However we cannot guarantee it. Please indicate this on the application form.
