EMBO Practical Course - PEPC7 Protein Expression, Purification and Crystallisation EMBL Hamburg, Germany Monday 23 August - Tuesday 31 August 2010 The course, intended for students in the early stages of their research career, will cover over-expression of proteins in prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems, protein purification and characterisation, crystallization techniques and determination of crystal quality. There is no registration fee and accommodation and subsistence are covered for accepted applicants. Scientists from industry will be required to pay a fee of € 1000. Application is by the web based application form only. The closing date for application is May 23, 2010. The applications will be considered by a Selection Committee and the result of the selection procedure will be sent to applicants by Email within about three weeks of the closing date. Please note that it is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that a letter of reference is provided by their supervisor before the application deadline. Accepted applicants will be expected to prepare and present a poster on aspects of their work at the beginning of the course.
