Dw i'n meddwl ella mai diswyddo rhywun er
mwyn rhoi ei swydd i rywun arall yw 'displacement' Claire. Wedi dod o hyd i hwn
ar y we:
DISPLACEMENT
The designated employee may be considered for another employee's
position within the same type of work and campus operating budget and category
(ie - an employee may displace another employee in an appropriate position with
the same number of, or fewer hours worked) on the basis of qualifications and
length of service. This position, if available, will be determined by the
appropriate Vice-President in consultation with the Department of Human
Resources & Organizational Development. Should it not be possible to
make another position available then the designated employee shall be laid off.

policy
Mae un diffiniad o
eiriadur ar-lein Princeton yn dweud ‘act of removing from office or employment’, sy’n awgrymu ‘diswyddo’.
Ond mae un adroddiad
ar ad-drefnu ysgolion yn Lloegr yn dweud, o dan y pennawd ‘Staffing’, “No redundancies
and minimal displacement of staff is expected”, sy’n awgrymu ‘newid swyddi / symud
staff’.
A ddylid rhoi
‘diswyddo neu symud staff neu newid eu swyddi’ felly?
