I have a Kindle. I love it, and not just for the lovely tooled leather cover I bought for it. My house is over-run with books. From now on, fewer. I recently traveled, and carried eleven (mostly free) books with me in that slim leather cover. Holding big books hurts my hands & arms now. The Kindle doesn't. Reading small print is painful. With the Kindle I can increase the font to readability. The screen is like paper, not screen. Easy to read. It could be better, certainly. But now I love it.
