Hello Annie,

If the needle has been used on one individual and they move away then surely the only issue is the needle may be blunt. Why would the needle need to be changed before using the contents of the syringe? If un-useable then discard and start again.

Regards

Pauline

Annie

removing a needle (other than via a sharps box when disposing) is surely going to increase the risk of injury to the user.

If the same needle cannot be used again on the patient (as dentists do when giving locals), then should a whole new product (drug and needle) not be used?

regards

Glenn

Subject: Needle removing device

Hello List

Could anyone recommend a needle removing device for the safe removing of a contaminated needle when, for example,1 an individual pulls away at point of vaccination and the needle is contaminated but the contents of the syringe remains intact and useable? The contaminated needle needs to be safely removed so that a new needle can be put on the syringe and contents used.

Any help would be gratefully received

Best wishes

Annie
