Hi Jean

A friend of mine had gastric bypass surgery (I realise this is a slightly different procedure). She is a midwife and her role requires her to work shifts (including home deliveries) and can potentially involve some manual handling. Her employer could not accomodate restrictions placed by OH she ended up having about 6 weeks off although felt ready to do the majority of her job after about 10 days. Her main issue was that she kept being very hypoglycaemic and being/feeling very faint so couldn't work alone.
